NATHABATI ANATHBAT : DIRECTED

Mahabharat | Kathaa Amritasamaan | Bengali Drama | Saoli Mitra | Tripti ...

The Epic of Mahabharata is a story that has been part of the South Asian culture for centuries. This Bengali Drama by Saoli Mitra has been a classic theatrical adaptation of the Epic is an evergreen work of brilliance.

Saoli Mitra is a veteran theater personality who has produced many classics. Saoli Mitra is the only child of Bengali Theatre’s power couple Shombhu Mitra and Tripti Mitra. She has been a part of the theater world from a very early stage. As a child artist she acted on many notable plays. Some of them were big classic productions like Tulshi Lahiri’s Chhera Tnar and Tagore’s Daakghar. Both of these dramas were huge hits from the stable of Bohurupi Productions. Saoli Mitra’s sprawling career has many feathers attached to her cap. She formed her own theater group Pancham Vaidik which is one of the leading theater production houses in the country. Both Shombhu Mitra and Tripti Mitra were founder members of this group. Saoli Mitra has directed many contemporary plays and is known for her intellectual interpretations of many contemporary issues.

This Drama “Kathaa Amritasamaan” is a fantastic interpretation of the epic executed brilliantly by Saoli Mitra. This is one of the first modern and contemporary takes on the Epic Mahabharata.

Saoli Mitra’s brilliant script is worth a standing ovation. This drama was a huge hit among the masses and hugely intellectually acclaimed. Saoli Mitra’s take on many contemporary social issues through the story of Mahabharata is work of sheer brilliance. The narration is flawless and lucid. Rather than taking any religious side her explanation of Mahabharata through a more social and contemporary path is definitely intellectually brilliant. This Bengali Drama was a path breaking work of art in the world of Bengali Theatre. The narration of the epic is well colored with chosen songs that adds to the drama and never disrupts the flow of the story. The various colors of the Epic Mahabharata are well drawn and depicted. This is a rare album from the stable of Hindusthan Records.

Ahmad Zahir - The Ultimate Golden Collection

Afghanistan's Nightingale Ahmad Zahir full album -احمد ظاهر انتخابی

We can feel it even today through his beautifully achievement in Afghan music .Ahmad Zahir (1946 - 1979), was an Afghan singer, songwriter and composer. A celebrity of enduring popularity more than a quarter century after his controversial death, he is considered an icon of Afghan culture. He's fame has surpassed any previous singer in Afghanistan's history, earning him the title of Afghanistan's Nightingale. His status, as a pop singer, has been unrivaled even after all these years of his death (as of 2013). Posthumously granted the status of a luminary, his songs serve to this day as voice and music training lessons for aspiring singers.

Living Root bridges of Cherrapunji, India 2014 1080p HD

Living Root bridges of Cherrapunji, India 2014 HD 1080p

On listening to the word 'bridge', we all form an image of a well structured iron bridge in our minds. But ever heard of natural bridges? Well here's an interesting example of a natural living bridge.

Cherrapunji, a town in North-East India, which is known to be the second wettest place on earth, is also known for its living bridges. Here the bridges aren't built but grown. The living bridges are made from the roots of Ficus elastica tree whose secondary roots grow above the ground surface.
The villagers have created a root-guiding system that forces the tender roots of the rubber tree to grow straight. Such roots make a strong, living bridge in about 10-15 years.

Unlike the conventional man-made bridges which grow weak over time, these living bridges gain strength over time. Some of these bridges are more than five hundred (500) years old and can support 50 people at a time.

Mind Blowing Man Made Live Bridge at Cherrapunji, India

Genial! Danke Felix!

Genial! That 's what I call sustainable architecture . Phenomenal ! These people really have a different concept of time . You actually build bridges to the future and think at the same time several generations forward without forgetting the nature. Thank you Felix !
